Retain or throw out?

Its always a never ending battle between purchasing a new one, or having it repaired, especially when it comes to appliances and gadgets! Why? For example, i have a busted LED Tv and it costs Php. 5,000 pesos to repair. When a brand new tv costs also Php. 5,000. What do you do??
